He wrote: “It’s been a great journey with many highs from training in the summer camp as a six-year-old boy to making my Champions League debut but it’s time for it to come to an end.
“I thank all the players I’ve played with, all the staff members that have developed and looked after me throughout all the years and the fans who have followed and supported my journey as a player.
“It’s been my home for as long as l can remember and wish Chelsea FC the best of luck for the future."

Wolves midfielder Joe Hodge has joined League One side Huddersfield Town on a season-long loan.

Wolves’ head of professional football development Matt Jackson said: “This is all about Joe’s continued development. He needs to play lots of games, get lots of minutes.
“He had a taste of the Championship with QPR which was a frustrating time for him, but it was a learning experience. He can use those frustrations as motivation to have a consistent season with Huddersfield.”

Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler said: “This is a great opportunity for Mark to have his first loan in the Championship.
“Everybody was delighted for Mark when he scored his first senior goal on Tuesday and we’re looking forward to seeing how he does at Fratton Park.
“Our pathway development manager Gordon Greer will be monitoring his progress, and we wish him well for the season.”

Las Palmas make Dendoncker loan move enquiry
Las Palmas have made contact over a potential loan move for Aston Villa midfielder Leander Dendoncker.
A deal for the Belgium international would hinge on agreeing the structure of his salary, with Las Palmas unlikely to be able to cover his full wage. Presently, this is a significant stumbling block, with Dendoncker's current salary beyond the La Liga club's financial realms.
The Athletic reported on Wednesday (August 28) that Dendoncker is expected to explore current options before the transfer deadline, with the La Liga club keen on taking the 29-year-old on loan for the campaign.
Discussions between Valencia and Villa over the possible loan signing of another midfielder in Enzo Barrenechea have been postponed, with Villa preferring to keep the 23-year-old at the club. This has meant Villa are well-stocked in central midfield, paving the way for Dendoncker's exit.
Dendoncker spent the second half of last season on loan at Napoli but made just three appearances in Serie A.
Valencia's loan talks for Villa’s Barrenechea postponed
Discussions between Valencia and Aston Villa over the possible loan signing of Enzo Barrenechea have been postponed.
As The Athletic reported this morning, no agreement was in place for Barrenechea to move to La Liga, but Valencia were keen to sign the midfielder, despite only moving to Villa this summer.
However, Villa decided for Barrenchea to stay at the club.
Despite conflicting reports, no loan agreement was finalised, with Villa open to the departure of another central midfielder in Leander Dendoncker, who is expected to explore current options in the next two days.
Barrenechea has not featured in Villa’s first two Premier League matchday squads, with competition rife in central midfield. The deal to sign Barrenechea was part of a €22million combined fee for him and Samuel Iling-Junior, who left for Bologna on loan earlier this week.
When asked about Barrenechea last week, manager Unai Emery insisted he was happy with the progress of the 23-year-old.
“He's working very well. He has big potential and his process is here with us. I am happy with him...His adaptation in the squad is fantastic."

Hull in advanced talks to sign Rushworth on loan from Brighton
Hull City are in advanced talks with Brighton & Hove Albion over the signing of Carl Rushworth on a season-long loan.
With a full agreement on the transfer nearing completion, Rushworth is now travelling to Hull for a medical. If all goes to plan, he will spend the remainder of the 2024-25 season at the MKM stadium. Other Championship clubs have also expressed interest in him.
Rushworth spent last season on loan at Swansea City in the Championship, and impressed after playing in all 46 of their matches.
His move to Hull will mark his fifth loan spell away from Brighton, as they continue to develop the England Under-21 international.
Rushworth started his career at Huddersfield Town before joining FC Halifax Town’s academy. He was signed by Brighton in 2019 and has since been gaining experience through various loan stints, including at Worthing, Walsall, and Lincoln City,
Hull will be hoping the signing of Rushworth will bolster their squad. They are 14th in the Championship, having drawn all three of their opening three matches.

Brentford sign Brazilian teenager Nunes from Gremio
Brentford have signed teenage forward Gustavo Nunes from Brazilian side Gremio.
The 18-year-old, who has made 20 top-flight appearances in Brazil, joins the west London club on a six-year contract — with the option of an additional two years.
“I am very excited that we have managed to sign Gustavo,” said Brentford head coach Thomas Frank. “It is another good signing; we have fought with other clubs.
“He is a winger who can go past players one-on-one. He is direct and he can create.
“Gustavo has a lot of potential and of course we need to maximise that in every aspect. He needs time to settle, but this is a very exciting signing.”
Nunes, who made his senior club debut in February this year, becomes Brentford's fourth summer signing.
Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg both joined from Liverpool while club-record signing Igor Thiago will have to wait to make his Brentford debut after suffering a knee injury during pre-season.
Burnley make approach to sign Stoke captain Laurent
Burnley have made an approach to Stoke City to sign Josh Laurent.
The two Championship clubs are now in talks over a deal to sign the Stoke captain.
Laurent, 29, has one year left on his contract and Stoke are fielding interest in the midfielder, as reported by The Athletic.
Laurent rejected a move to Sivasspor earlier this summer after Stoke and the Turkish side agreed a deal worth £500,000 ($650,000). He has also attracted interest from Birmingham City.
Laurent has started all three of Stoke’s Championship games this season but missed the 5-0 victory over Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
He has made 81 appearances for Stoke since arriving from Reading in 2022, scoring eight times with six assists.
Burnley are next in action again Wolverhampton Wanderers in the League Cup this evening.
Plymouth set to reject Burnley bid for Whittaker
Plymouth Argyle are set to reject Burnley's opening offer for England Under-20 striker Morgan Whittaker.
Burnley’s bid for the attacker, which is understood to have been an initial loan with an option to buy if they achieved promotion, fell below their fellow Championship club’s valuation.
It is understood Plymouth do not wish to sell Whittaker this late in the window unless a permanent offer exceeds their high valuation. The club, when contacted, did not want to comment on the situation.
Scott Parker’s side are searching for reinforcements in the final days of the transfer window due to the number of already confirmed and potential outgoings.
Wide midfield is an area they are keen to strengthen following the departures of Wilson Odobert, Anass Zaroury and Johann Berg Gudmundsson.
Fellow attackers Mike Tresor and Manuel Benson could also leave alongside Luca Koleosho with Burnley turning down a £20million bid for the latter from Wolverhampton Wanderers last week.
Whittaker began his career with Derby County before moving to Swansea City in 2021. He joined Plymouth on an initial loan deal in July 2022 before making the move permanent last summer.
The forward scored 19 goals in 46 games last term to help Plymouth avoid relegation to League One.
