This is still happening for me. Every 5 to 10 minutes Ill get a BattlEye Query timeout and error code Plum. Ive tried reinstalling BattlEye, uninstalling MSI afterburner, verifying files, etc. What could be the cause of this happening? It makes the game unplayable.

The infamous Battleye Query Timeout issue in the Destiny 2 game that throws you out of activities by launching a Battleye popup window with the QUERY TIMEOUT error and generating the PLUM error code message in Destiny 2.I solved it as follows:DISABLE GAME APPSI removed all other apps from games, EA, Ubisoft, etc. from autostart with Windows. To do this press WIN+R keys and type MSCONFIG. Then go to the PROGRAM STARTUP tab and click on OPEN TASK MANAGER. Search for these apps from game libraries and mark them as DISABLED.DISABLE SERVICESIn the same MSCONFIG window, go to the SERVICES tab, look for all game library services (EA, Ubisoft, etc.) and also for any other ANTICHEAT service such as EPIC and others and uncheck all that you find. Don't worry, when you launch game libraries that use these anticheats, Windows will start them automatically. After doing all of the above, restart your computer.Upon restart, open the TASK MANAGER, and look to see if other game managers and anticheats that have been disabled have been launched, and test to see if Destiny 2 now runs smoothly. In my case the problem was generated after I installed STAR WARS JEDI FALLEN ORDER and for it to run the EA APP was installed. After I did the above procedures disabling everything related to EA and Epic Anticheat the PLUM errors no longer occurred.I hope this report was useful and helps someone to solve the problem.Hugs!

this has happened to me and was also constantly getting battleye query timeout, I could not find a fix online so I started messing with things, I am not sure if this fix will work for you but what I did was delete Norton antivirus because it kept blocking battleye and destiny connection even though I set it to allow through the firewall, ever since I deleted it i have been playing flawlessly, just check your firewall permissions, I know that this fix is pretty specific based on what AV you use. I hope this helps. if you have any questions PM me.

*Check to see if you have any other anti-cheat software running your system. In particular, players have been citing Vanguard, the anti-cheat software for Valorant, as a potential trigger for this error. By disabling this software, it may stop the PLUM error from reappearing.*Other users have reported this error cropping up when they are using an unstable internet connection. Some examples have included hotel Wi-Fi, which can be a bit…patchy. So it’s well worth taking some time to make sure your internet connection is running as well as possible. Restart your router, consider switching to a wired connection if you aren’t already using one, and minimise the number of apps and devices competing for bandwidth.*Keep an eye on the server status for the game as well. If the servers are experiencing high traffic levels, this may cause some issues with the stability of your connection.
